Douches are an over-the-counter product intended to cleanse a woman's vaginal tissue. The fact is, however, that vaginal tissue is self-cleaning. Douches may contain chemicals that can seriously endanger the health of a |fetus| if absorbed. Pregnant women or potentially pregnant woman should not douche.
